The honest trade offs of a no account exchange
Swapping without an account is quick and keeps your details out of a database that can leak. It is not free of trade offs, and a service that pretends otherwise is not being straight with you.
What you gain
- Nothing to sign up for, so nothing to be breached later.
- Your coins stay in your wallet until the moment you send them.
- The payout goes to an address you chose, not to a balance someone else controls.
What you give up
- Recovery. There is no login, so the order page is the only link to your order.
- History. Nothing collects your past orders in one place.
- Support context. Questions start from an order id rather than from an account.
Working with it
Keep the order page open until the payout arrives, and add a refund address when you open the order. That address is where anything that cannot be exchanged is sent back to, and it costs nothing to fill in.
